ACE CODING CLUB
Come learn Java programming! This club meets every Wednesday from 3:15 – 4:15 pm. Students from AVHS will be leading the instructional groups.

ART CLUB
The Art Club is a place for practicing artists to hone in on their skills, develop their techniques and portfolios, collaborate with other artists like themselves, create bonds through the arts, and learn how to work together through individual and group projects. Art Club meets every Thursday from 2:00 - 3:00.

BSU
BSU’s focus is to build awareness and education around African American culture and community. Our goal is to build positive self-esteem, encouragement and inclusion while creating leaders, achievers and believers. BSU meets every Tuesday at 1:00 Advisors: Mrs. Cobb and Ms. Hills.

GSA CLUB
Pleasanton Middle School's GSA club provides a sense of community and space for LGBTQ and straight ally youth to build a social network where their identity is respected. The group provides students a safe place to express themselves. This student-run group encourages acceptance and tolerance within the diverse population of our school. MATHCOUNTS
This drop-in math program meets every Wednesday from 3:10-4:10. MathCounts participates in competitions in the spring. Email Mr. Fischer for more information. Advisor: David Fischer
PANTHER BOOK CLUB
Come and read and discuss books and have fun playing book related games! We meet the first Tuesday of every month from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m.

SCIENCE BOWL CLUB
This club is for 6th Graders who are interested in competing in the Science Bowl each January. The club is very competitive, as only four students make the final science bowl team. Students specialize in one of 4 areas: Math, Earth and Space Science, Biological Sciences, and Physical Sciences and study those areas independently in depth. Meetings are to determine which 4 students make the final team. Each meeting includes a reading quiz followed by practice using buzzers. Requirements for membership in the club are: 1) 6th science teacher approves, 2) Parent signs form, 3) a passion for learning science. This club meets Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
